Maria Lemus: From Small- Scale Vendor to Community Pillar!
María struggled to earn a living selling catalog-order perfume & shoes.
Church leaders recommended her for a small business loan. She built inventory, learned from business advisors, paid off her loan on time, & applied for a bigger one. Fifteen loans later, she borrowed $20k to build a store and grinding mill. Now, María's neighbors can't imagine life without her local businesses!
Riya Bhandari: From Fear to Flourishing
When Riya's husband lost his job, she was terrified for her family of six.
Applying for ENLACE's Women's Tailoring Training offered hope that hers could be a two income family. At first, she just saved money making and repairing her own family's clothes. Then, she started selling her services to neighbors. Word spread, and now she's a proud businesswoman with hope of a brighter future!
Sandra Amaya: From Struggling Mom to Happy Entrepreneur
Sandra struggled to make a living selling phone credit, lotions, and other essentials door-to-door.
A church leader saw her situation and recommended her for a chicken livelihood project. Half her first flock died, but now after her 10th cycle she says, "This project has profoundly impacted my life, not only financially, but with security, dignity, and the desire to keep growing."
How ENLACE Doubles Your Impact!
To ensure long-term sustainability, all ENLACE projects are locally identified, managed, sustained, and at least 50% locally funded. Your gift will be matched by a community contribution of the same or greater value in the form of materials, labor, and locally raised funds. We will direct your gift to the project type you selected if a community has identified it as a need. Otherwise, gifts are directed to the next-biggest need identified by the community.
This approach doubles your impact while ensuring sustainability for years to come.
